Eating Like A Champion, Part III: Dinner

"If we consume three meals a day for 1825 days, that’s 5475 meals, which is 5475 opportunities to eat with awareness, to look deeply at what we consume and where it comes from. The power in this idea isn’t in looking at the big picture of 5475 meals, it’s looking at each meal individually."

Above are the words of my UBBT Coach and mentor, Master Tom Callos. He's asked (practically

Jason Jones week 30

Hey everyone. I had another pretty good week. My running is going well as I've already noticed improvements. If anyone is interested in running, there is a terrific book called Daniels' Running Formula by Jack Daniels that will help anyone. For me it's been especially good for trimming fat, but it can also help with explosiveness and cardio endurance. I think the key for me has been doing things, both mentally and physically, that complement each other. Like how eating better complements more in… Continue

Commitment

I don't have too much to report this week and don't feel a bunch like blogging. It has been a hectic couple of weeks at work. Not the 'hey I'm busy and the day flew by' type of hectic but the 'I'm seeing double a the end of the day'' kind of hectic. Plus on top of that I am trying to get some studying in at the end of my day for an exam on Friday.

But - no matter how busy I am, and even though I may have to play a little catch-up with some requirements later, I am still goin

A vistit from the Korean Eagles Taekwondo Demo Team

Over the course of the last week, my academy had the pleasure of hosting the Korean Eagles Taekwondo Demo Team. The team is made up of about twenty children ages 7-17. Journal #30 Test

Journal #30 Test

Over the last week I have been faced with many different test, which I would like to share with all of you. Last week, a job opportunity arose back in my hometown that had me debating if I should stay at LPS. The reason why I considered this a test was that this opportunity presented itself at a time where I didn’t feel appreciated for my talents and my past commitment to my school. I was so upset that I couldn’t sleep for two days, as I wondered if I should apply for this posi… Continue

Plastiki Travels 8,000 Miles To Protest Plastic Pollution

For some time, some of us have been following the story of Plastiki, a boat made entirely out of plastic bottles, that sailed the Pacific ocean to bring attention to the world that plastic just does NOT go away. In fact, there are 5 documented garbage patches floating in the world's oceans that… Continue

NEWS BRIEF: Morinville, Alberta, CANADA July 25, 2010

Sihing Lilienskold and Sifu Finnamore made history this weekend. While the whole world watched Lance Armstrong and Team RadioShack complete the Tour de France, capturing first place in the team classifaication, the duo from Silent River Kung Fu successfully completed their first ever bike event - the 100km Tour d'Alberta. Although it may seem strange to compare Team Radio Shack to the two novice bike riders half a world away, there is a link. We caught up with pair soon after the event, as th
